Employee Health & Wellness, Human Resources provides surveillance services to employees of Augusta University and Health System, contracted employees, and volunteers with the goal of preventing occupational injury and disease through recognition and management of risk, and to monitor compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations for AU Health System.

Report all work related injuries to your supervisor immediately. Call Employee Health if Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:00am to 5:00pm for MD availability. Employee Health can immediately see and treat all body fluid exposures, needle stick injuries and minor injuries from falls, contusions, sprains and strains. Employees may report to the Emergency Room for any type of emergency treatment or in the event Employee Health is closed for a holiday, weekend or treatment is needed after 5:00pm.
All AU Medical Center employees MUST call Employee Health following ER treatment to properly ensure reports have been submitted to the proper insurance carrier. Failure to follow the process could lead to denial of the claim and billing issues.
